Sci-Fi, Action and Vampirism Combine for a Non-Stop Thrill Ride

DynaTainment has published "VAMPIRE ANNIHILATION METHODS PROJECT", the first novel from author Christopher Caldwell. V.A.M.P. is book-one of a trilogy. The initial focus of the story arc is a high-tech effort to remove vampires from Los Angeles. The second book builds on the sci-fi elements established in the first, while introducing additional concepts that help shape the new world of the third installment.

The author has been a life-long fan of science fiction and horror and wanted to add something new to the genre. It was his intention to write a book that gives the reader an experience that is more like watching than reading. While succeeding in his goal he has also created a vibrant group of characters, some whom you will love and others you will despise.

FROM THE AUTHOR: "There were two main ideas that I focused on with regards to the characters. The first is that I wanted revenge to be the dominant motivating factor for several characters on both sides of the "good/bad" line. I wanted to illustrate how controlled anger can be productive and how anger to the point of obsession is self-destructive."

"The other idea I wanted to highlight is the varying nature of relationships that exists between individuals in a group. Just like in real life. In a work environment or in a family, people are constantly making subtle adjustments in their persona, the faces that they wear, the things they say and the way that they say them depending on who joins or leaves the mix. Foul-mouthed boys go mute when grandma enters the room. Postures change and joking stops when the boss shows up. I wanted to infuse these elements to present multi-dimensional relationships as well as memorable characters."

DynaTainment, Inc. is an independent publishing company operating in New Jersey. Printing resources, ISBN acquisition, merchant account, copyright forms, etc. were secured via the Internet. While faxes, overnight couriers and traditional freight carriers were also used in the process, future volumes may be produced entirely online as delivery systems and methods for protecting intellectual property improve.
